Foreigner ist eine britisch-amerikanische Band, die mit eingängigem, melodiös-melancholischem Hard-Rock-Sound zwischen 1977 und 1988 ihre größten Erfolge hatte. Bis 2005 wurden weltweit über 50 Millionen Platten verkauft. Foreigner gehört zu den bekanntesten Vertretern des Adult Oriented Rock (AOR). Zu ihren bekanntesten Hits zählen Cold as Ice, Urgent, Waiting for a Girl Like You und I Want to Know What Love Is.
